About The Author

Adriana M. Amaro

Adriana is a native of Argentina and is of Portuguese heritage. At an early age she acquired an aptitude for languages; she is fluent in English, Spanish, and Portuguese. She is especially grateful to her maternal grandfather for teaching her Portuguese and for instilling in her a desire to learn his culture and language. When she was seven years old, her family traveled to Portugal; it was there that she began to appreciate how important it is to speak more than one language. Being trilingual has opened many doors to Adriana, and she recalls fondly how as she was growing up, it helped her to become friends with other children.
